The recordings for his new DVD and TV Special take place in the Antwerp cultural temple De Roma on August 8 and 9. During this spectacular show, with the fantastic dancers of the MDR television ballet, we can see Helmut tap dancing (on "Fever") and singing a duet with Clare Teal, best jazz singer for three years in a row.
From Sunday morning, August 3, 8h30 until Monday morning, August 11, 11h00, the production makes 112 hours at De Roma. Time to Swing @ De Roma in numbers : production crew: 134, from which 32 German NDR-staff. Staff from De Roma: 5 personnel and 34 volunteers. Musicians: 31, Dancers: 28,extras: 68, Cameras: 8, Camera cranes: 2, Trucks with sound and light equipment and decor sets: 14 Styling, hair dressers, Make-up: 15; based on different camera settings, a total of 1906 people came to the show on Friday and Saturday (938 on Friday, 968 on Saturday).
